The month of July has always been special for us. This year also without any exception we had celebrated our founder’s day virtually and happy to inform you that it was a great success.  A big thanks to all the Donors and Supporters who attended the event and contributed to our initiatives.

Virtual Event – Deepalaya Founders’ Day 2020

We are proud to inform you that Deepalaya has completed 41 years of its journey; it has been an amazing journey with all of you. This year due to the current crisis, we decided to celebrate our founders’ day virtually on Facebook. We hope that you were able to take part in our 41st virtual anniversary celebrations and enjoyed it.

The event was attended by supporters & Friends of Deepalaya from across the world. We have received a positive response where people appreciated the whole programme and the relentless work we’re doing during covid19. We got the special recognition for our film Naina and a Booklet launched on the same day, a booklet on ‘COVID-19 Relief’. We worked hard to showcase our efforts of helping the needy during lockdown announced due to the spread of COVID-19.

Naina – a short film by Deepalaya. It is inspired by the true story of a child with special needs.

Also With the help of people like you, we have been able to support 12,850 families with ration and sanitization kits and 2,200 families with money transferred through bank accounts.  However, we wouldn’t have done this without the support of our community, our students, SHG members and our staff, who risked their lives and joined hands with us in the relief activities. During the celebration, we felicitated them with the title of “COVID warriors”.

It is indeed a great honour for us to receive this recognition from all our well-wishers, without your support this wouldn’t have been possible. All the hard work that we put in to serve the society seems to be well paid at platforms like this.

Thank you for supporting Deepalaya with the generous regular support we feel proud to have supporters like you and made it to a global appreciation.
