A camp for better health
On 8th September 2016, a health camp was organized in Deepalaya Children Home by a team of doctors from District Hospital, Tauru with the objective of providing free medical checkup to the children enrolled in DCH and introducing the importance of health and hygiene in daily routine. Dr. Rohit spoke on general health and hygiene and gave some tips on healthy eating.

Thereafter, Dr. Rohit, Dr. Amit, Dr. Bindu and the lab technician started taking note of pulse, blood pressure, height and weight of children. Everyone was checked for skin problems, infections, Hemoglobin monitoring etc. Doctor checking blood pressure of a girl from Deepalaya Children's Home.Some of the children showed symptoms of seasonal diseases and their blood samples were taken for detailed examination. General medicines were given to children suffering from infection, fever etc.
Most of the children showed decrease in their hemoglobin count because of viral fever and other seasonal infections. We are grateful to the Government hospital and Mrs. Meena Kumari member of C.W.C for their genuine contribution towards improving the health of children. The event was also covered in local newspapers.
