Vishal studied in Deepalaya Kalkaji Extension School from class I to class X. He passed his Secondary Examination in 2013 from DSKE. After leaving, Deepalaya School, Kalkaji Extension, he completed his senior secondary examination from Rai Sinha Bengali School at Chitranjan Park in 2015 and enrolled for B.com from Vishal a talented student of Deepalaya.Delhi Uiversity’s School of Open Learning.
His younger brother and sister were also studying in DSKE but shifted to a nearby Government School after DSKE got its recognition as his father could not afford the school fees of the recognized school. Vishal’s father supplies agarbattis (incense sticks) to shops and households, and his mother works in a cosmetic store.
Last year during October, the US embassy announced seats for community college Initiative Programme (CCIP). We sent 6 applications from Deepalaya along with 7 essays. After a few days, a telephonic interview was conducted with all the 6 candidates. Based on their response, 3 candidates were shortlisted for TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication). Only 2 students could clear the exam and they were asked to send their feedback reports.
Based on the feedback reports, Vishal was selected for the course. He has opted for “media” in IT through CCIP- He wishes to master the art of media, make short documentary films, know how to work behind the camera. At the moment he is making music albums. He has made eight single albums and opened a home studio where he is learning on his own with the help from YouTube.
Vishal Babu Gupta has been approved by the colleagues in the Department of State USA. He has been assigned to Northampton Community College, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He will be flying to the USA during July 2016
