A Special applause for our special kids
A special Athletic Meet was organized for differently abled children by the Handicapped Children’s Parents Association along with the Association of the Special Olympics Bharat, Relaxo on 8th November, 2017 at Sneh – Kunj, Home of Spastics, Plot–K, Sector-5 Dwarka, ND–75.
Special kids from Deepalaya won awards in Special Athletic Meet
A special Athletic Meet was organized for differently abled children by the Handicapped Children’s Parents Association along with the Association of the Special Olympics Bharat, Relaxo on 8th November, 2017 at Sneh – Kunj, Home of Spastics, Plot–K, Sector-5 Dwarka, ND–75. The association has been organizing this event every year and kids from our special unit participate with a lot of enthusiasm. Around 15 students participated in the event. They were supported by 3 special educators and one driver and a helper. The event started with the lighting of lamp and torch bearing ceremony. After the inauguration, the students were grouped as per their age and the event they wanted to participate in, like shot-put, 50 meter run, 25 meter walk, 10 meter assisted walk, soft ball throw, tennis Ball throw etc. They competed with the special kids from other NGOs. Our students performed very well and won seven prizes, detailed as under.
They were applauded for their extra-ordinary performance. Towards, the end they were given refreshment.
