A week of celebrations at Deepalaya

Diwali was celebrated with lot of enthusiasm in all the learning centers on 10th November. Children decorated their classes, made rangoli and paintings. Some also pledged to burst only a few crackers. The day was marked with a poster making and rangoli competition at Sanjay Colony. The students were given geometry boxes as prizes and refreshment to satiate their taste buds.

The students were given geometry boxes as prizes and refreshment to satiate their taste buds.

Diwali celebrations at Deepalaya Learning Centres.

The Gole Kuan learning center clubbed Diwali celebrations with the Childrens’ day celebration, considering that it was Saturday on 14th November. The students decorated their classes, delivered speeches, spoke about the life of Chacha Nehru, his contribution towards our Nation and recited poems. To appreciate their efforts each participant was rewarded with a small gift. The teachers too recited poems and sang songs. Children were given light refreshment towards the end of the event.

The childrens’ home wore an entirely different look on 1Children of Deepalaya Learning Centre Gole Kuan showing their refreshment in joy.1th November – the Diwali day. Both the homes were decorated with diyas and lighting. Children participated in different activities and competitions like obstacle race, rangoli making competition, football match between the two teams followed by a comedy hour. The rangoli competition was adjudged in an entirely different manner, without the physical presence of judges. Rangoli images were shared on whats app with Ms. Jaswant, Ms. Saraswathi, Ms. Pooja and Ms. Poonam. The comedy hour had a Bengali flavor with Bengali jokes and proverbs from Shafeebul. In the evening, a Diwali puja was organized and children were served sweets.

The learning center at Titron organized a sports day for the children on 14th November despite being a holiday. The students participated in different games and activities like toffee race, musical chair, balance race, shooting and tug of war. The winners were given small gifts.
