“We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths”. These famous lines by Walt Disney holds true for students of Deepalaya’s Special Unit.
While the whole of India is anxiously trying to get a glimpse of the highly popular F1 drivers, 6 students of the Special Unit got a golden chance of not only meeting but also interacting and spending some quality time with them.
In a recent ceremony organized by Jaypee Group of Companies-the company organizing the Formula-1 Race in India, the students and staff came face to face with the F1 drivers and had a worthwhile interaction with them.
The ceremony was organized to get the 180 paintings autographed by the F-1 racers. Out of the 180 paintings, 10 were made by Deepalaya students and were appreciated a lot by everyone present there. The paintings will be auctioned soon and the amount raised from the same will be utilized for the benefit of these students.
“The students were so excited to meet the F1 drivers. Our students were also motivated with the positive reception their paintings gained.I am sure that in future also our students will give their 100 per cent for activities like these,” said Sangeeta Kardam, Occupational Therapist and Senior Officer Programme at Special Unit.
At the time when others were busy getting autographs on their shirts and papers, Reena, Brijesh,Pooja, Puneet, Rakesh and Digamber got autographs on the cards made by them. While Reena was excited to get clicked with none other than Narain Karthikeyan, the others were not far behind and got a good picture with Michael Schumacher.
It was indeed a memorable and awakening experience for the young Deepalayans. The morale of the pupils was boosted with so many admiring their work and talent. This would be an indelible experience for the students to achieve new heights and make us all proud.
As aptly said, “Cherish your visions and you dreams, as they are the children of your soul; the blueprints of your ultimate achievements”.
