Celebrating yet another glorious year-the Annual Celebration

Students of Deepalaya School Kalkaji Extension(DSKE) lived upto the above lines by putting up a wonderful program on the occasion of the Annual Day celebrations on 2 December, 2011. With lots of energy, excitement and enthusiasm all around, the aura was intoxicating.
It was a moment of great pride for the School as the hard work of the students and the teachers were exhibited in front of large audience of Deepalaya’s well wishers and parents of the students. The students rolled out the red carpet for the Chief Guest-Mr Dushyant Kumar,Deputy General Manager, GAIL.
The mesmerizing cultural performances included a Saraswati Vandana, two dance performances by the tiny tots, two skits-one in English and one in hindi. The determination and the confidence of the students to perform in front of such a huge gathering was indeed something to be proud of. Thanks to the efforts of the teachers who have worked hard with the children for these splendid performances.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms Anita Sawhney, Principal, DSKE, congratulated the teachers for their hardwork and encouraged the community to send their children to school especially girls as ‘every child deserves a chance’.
The celebration also saw the students receiving the Awards for Academic Excellence- Indira & Jai Foundation Award, Rear Admiral R.C.Bhalla Memorial Awards among others.
The program came to an end with the united voices singing the National Anthem. The firmness in the voices of the children clearly stated that the sky is indeed the limit for Deepalayans
