celebrate the achievements of the school, of the students and the teachers. Deepalaya School Gusbethi organized annual day function on 1stMarch, 2016. Every member of the school including the students, teachers and staff members contributed to celebrate the occasion. Mr. Anup Singh Jakhar B.E.O of Tauru block was the chief guest. He and his colleague Mr. Shishupal Yadav arrived at around 10.45 a.m. The guests were given a traditional welcome by the school band team and tilak by two school girls.
The function started with the lighting of the lamp by the honorable guests and a welcome song by school children. Mr. PT Varghese, Director

Administration welcomed the guests and explained about Deepalaya and its activities and importance of education for children. The students put up scintillating dance performances including Bhangra, Haryanvi and Rajasthani dances and a Nazm.
After the performances, Mr. Anup Singh Jakhar was invited to say a few words. He laid emphasis on girl child education in his speech. Thereafter, toppers from all classes were awarded and appreciated for their performance. Two of our donors – T K S NIdhi and Ms. Rajni – constituted a few awards, especially for the girls, who outperformed and excelled in every field, be it sports, education or extra-curricular activities. A cash award of Rs. 500/- each was givenA boy receiving a certificate. to two girls and Rs. 250/- each to four girls.
The function ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. John Varghese, Sr. Manager (Finance). Mr. Anup Singh Jakhar, thereafter, took a tour of Deepalaya gram, the school premises, inspected the computer lab and RO plant and childrens’ homes. He was impressed with facilities provided by the school and advised us on increasing the practical sessions for promoting computer literacy amongst the students and suggested to emphasise on Skill Development Programme.
Overall the function was a huge success and was widely covered by the local newspapers.
