“They’re the ones who’ll laugh, and go laughing with you all through; the ones who’ll help you, Help you with all their might”

On a cold winter morning of 2 December, 2011, Deepalaya School Kalkaji Extension celebrated their Annual Day, in the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Dushyant Kumar, DGM, Gail India Limited. The students enthralled everyone with their various performances.

A Similar celebration took place on a misty morning of 23rd December at Deepalaya School Sanjay Colony. It was indeed a great moment for the Principal, Ms Renu Loomba who shared the Annual Report of the School with the audience. It was a sight to remember when the audience could not stop clapping during the performances of the children on different dances and songs. The dance by the Tiny-tots was the most adorable act.

Witnessing the performance of the children, the Chief Guest-Ms Mamta Rani, social worker and an investor advisor, said ““I am really happy to be present here on this occasion. Looking at these presentations by the students made me recall my childhood when I also participated in school functions. It is truly our responsibility to provide overall development to our children by educating them and finding out their latent talents. This can help us get a bright future”.

The function included an award ceremony where students were awarded for their commendable performance in different areas across the previous academic session. Speaking with pride and exuberance on this occasion, Mr A.J.Philip, President Deepalaya recalled, “Whenever I think of Deepalaya the picture of Deepalya School Sanjay Colony comes to my mind as this is the school I first visited when I associated with the organization. It is a great pride to see how the school has grown over the years.”

The cherry on the cake was the performance by students of Special Unit who presented a musical skit portraying the warmth and love of Christmas and the feeling of giving and sharing.

The day concluded with the National Anthem and a vote of thanks
