One advantage that Deepalaya had while working on Project STEADY during the last two years is our association with Savitri Bai Phule Inter College. The school authorities have always invited Deepalaya for some of the special events they hold.

National Cadet Corps along with the college came together for a campaign on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on 29^th September, 2016. Principal Mrs. Rima Dey and Mr. Jawahar Singh – In charge NCC invited Mr. Roy Cherian Raj – In-charge Project STEADY to represent Deepalaya and to speak a few words of inspiration to the students on “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”. 37 Ghaziabad, UP Battalion of NCC along with Scout students actively participated in the campaign. Mr. Roy and Ms. Anita represented Deepalaya in the event. Mr. Roy threw some light on the Prime Minister’s campaign “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” and how waste should be segregated into dry and wet waste as the later could be recycled and former could be used to generate bio-gas or manure etc. The students listened to the speech attentively and pledged to educate their family members on waste segregation. Girls from govt. schools of Greater Noida, participated in a rally organised bye Deepalaya STEADY program under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Thereafter, the students conducted an awareness campaign and took out a rally from Savitri Bai Inter College to Kasna Chowk to convey the message of keeping our surroundings clean. The event was covered in leading newspapers circulating in the region.
