Deepalaya Projects celebrated Christmas with love and happiness

Students are studying and celebrating all major festivals from around the world as part of our curriculum. Students are studying and celebrating all major festivals from around the world as part of our curriculum. Christmas is the time for family and friends to get together, and there is no better way to get into the festive spirit than to host or attend a celebration. We celebrated Christmas with the same fervour, cheer and love, spreading the message of love and joy among our children.

Highlights

We went the extra mile at our Celebration to bring the magic of Christmas into the life of the students with delicious food, interactive games, and lucky drawings and prizes for students at every corner. It was a real treat in the spirit of the season for every child.

Celebrations at:

Christmas was celebrated at Deepalaya Learning Center, Sanjay Colony. Students had a drawing activity where they drew about Santa Claus and Christmas tree. Students performed on the songs and poems. The very jest of Christmas can be seen on everyone’s face. But the show-stealer was Santa Clouse. The moment Santa appeared the children burst with laughter and everyone started dancing with their dear Santa on the tune of Jingle bell. Students got candies from Santa; Staff also got the opportunity to get candies from Santa Clause.

Another Christmas celebration at Ramditti J.R Narang School, Panchsheel Vihar, a few guests from A&K visited learning centre, they visited to celebrate their Christmas with the students. There was a carol presented by our students and dance performance which they really enjoyed and at the end, students gifted them greeting cards on behalf of Deepalaya.

Our other centres, Girl Child Project and Project Steady also celebrated the Christmas, where all students were asked to come in the form of Santa and will have to perform activities accordingly. Not only did our students participate in the celebration but teachers and parents too helped make the event a grand success. While teachers performed live musicals, dances and acts, parents too didn’t miss a chance to rock the stage.

SDMC School, Okhla celebrated it with a lot of dance performances. The celebration started with an inauguration ceremony, moved ahead with a singing performance by class 3. Students of class 4 & 5 also presented dance performances on the songs like, ‘Shanti ki Raat, Khushi ki Raat’ and ‘Aaya Santa re’.  In the end, Santa arrived with lots of chocolates and gifts which made an event happier as students were enjoyed a lot by meeting Santa.

Project Parivartan, Punjab, celebrated it in its own way as; the school was beautifully decorated in red and white (the favourite colours of Santa). The students sang melodious carols and beautifully danced to wish their classmates and teachers. The significance of the festival was explained to the students through the Christmas story. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children.

It was indeed true that the warmth of Christmas was felt from the heart and the actions just proved it right!
