Add a sentiment or two, A thoughtful wish or line, A touch of stardust, a sunshine ray… It’s a recipe, for a Baby truly fineâ€Â This year Deepalaya celebrated 14th Year of its yet another baby – Ramditi JRND School. With a pleasant nip in the air, the day started with the lamp lighting ceremony, followed by an elegant Bharatnatyam dance by the alumni of the School, Vijay Lakshmi and Geeta Pal (who are now the teachers at Ramditi School). Speaking with optimism on this occasion Rtn T.K. Mathew, Founder Member, Secretary and Chief Executive of Deepalaya said, “The School is result-oriented and my special acknowledgement goes to the leader of the School- Ms. Gitanjali Krishnanâ€Â. The Chief Guests for the occasion were Mr. Ashish Ghosh, District Governor, District 3010, Rotary International and Veteran Actress Ms. Sushma Seth. The students exhibited the various facets of their talents with dance, drama, music and other cultural activities. The children performed with full zeal and confidence. It was a complete delight to see an eight year old Rajni hosting the Cleanliness drive through the presentation of two skits. She definitely made the audience realize that the adults are indeed the role models for the young ones and it is indeed important to practice what we preach when it comes to keeping our environment clean too. Witnessing the performance of the children, the Veteran Bollywood Actress, Ms. Sushma Seth said, “I am really happy to be present here on this occasion. Looking at these presentations by the students, it makes me realize that it is our responsibility to provide overall development to our children by educating them and finding out their latent talents. This can help us get a bright futureâ€Â. The Annual report was presented by Ms. Gitanjali Krishnan, Principal, Ramditi JRN Deepalaya Schoolon the event. Enlightened to spot the achievements, the Chief Guest Mr. Ashish Ghosh, District Governor, District 3010, Rotary International said, “I am glad to see the School reaching unprecedented heights and the children are the future of tomorrow, give your best and study hard. If you spot anybody poor in your society, help them outâ€Â. The audience was enthralled after witnessing an exemplary performance by the students who danced with their eyes blindfolded. Shabina’s solo performance took everybody’s breath away as she sung the title song from movie Titanic and Parineeta. The function included an award ceremony where students were awarded for their commendable performance in different areas across the previous academic session. By the end of the day, everyone had a feeling of contentment to take back home.
