This is a Jamun (Blackberry) tree. I am going to take care of it and will eat all the fruits” announced an excited Shanker. 22nd August the air was ‘GREEN’ at Gusbethi as members of the Inner Wheel Club of Panchshila Park came down for a tree plantation drive. “Gusbethi has always been close to my heart and when my club decided to do this drive, I decided to involve the children” say is what Achla Dayal had to say. 25 students from Deepalaya Children’s home planted individual saplings of Guava, Blackberry, lemon etc. The children have been encouraged to take good care of the plant and the Club also announced prize for the best cared and best grown tree.

children planting treesDeepalaya Children’s Home located at Village Gusbethi, Sahsola patti Revenue area, Tauru Block, Mewat District. It cares for children from various distressed backgrounds, operational since 2000; the Home today has 102 children (Girls and Boys) in the age group of 7to 18 years. Many of the earlier admission have moved ahead in life, completed their education and headed towards a self reliant and secure future.
