December has been a festive time for the students of Sanjay Colony Learning Centre. The pleasant cool weather ushered in the spirit of Christmas of caring and sharing with one and all. The little ones are growing up in a secure and loving environment within the campus of Deepalaya to learn and grow up to be confident, honest and good citizens.
The students celebrated Christmas this year first with the British school students on the 14th and again on theThe game in session 18th with Ms Ashmita Bose a friend of Deepalaya who loves children. The British school students showered the students with gift packs and read out stories to the students. Ms Ashmita had several competitions and games for the kids. Winners played to win prizes and gifts. The KG students played passing the parcel and won chocolates for themselves on being out and other big prizes too. A cultural Peformance on silent right holy nightprogram was also organized where students and teachers took part. It was celebration time for all irrespective of age.
On the 24th Dec there was Christmas Celebration in the campus where all the projects collectively celebrated Smiley face of children celebrating ChristmasChristmas. There were performances from the Learning Centre, Vocational Centre and the special unit. A Christmas tree was decorated and poster paintings of Santa spread across the campus. These together with stars, bells brought about the festive spirit in the air- the season of smiles and joy and friendship.

Children and staff at Deepalaya Childrens’ Home were all decked up for the long-awaited Christmas celebrations on 25th December. The sweet little ones enrolled at DCH made this festive season all-the-more colourful with a speech relating to the nativity of Jesus Christ followed by songs, dance and exchanging giftsChristmas celebration at Deepalaya Children's Home. Ms. Meena Kumari and Mr. Ashfaq (CWC members of Mewat Dist.) were the Chief guests. The appearance of Santa Claus created a pleasant atmosphere with the children dancing on the famous song Jingle bells. The cultural program was beautifully hosted by Abul, a DCH student. After the programme children played volleyball. Children played Antakshri during night as they gathered around a fire to keep themselves warm and enjoy the serenity. They played another game in which they shared two qualities and weaknesses of each child. The celebrations gave them a chance to know each other too.
