It is amazing to see the way our patrons come back to Deepalaya even after years of moving away from India. Mr. Bram and his wife Ms. Anna from Netherland visited Sanjay Colony on the 29th of August after a long gap of 5 years. Mr. Bram was associated with Deepalaya since 1996 when he was working at a managerial role with ICCO (Inter church Cooperative for Development Corporation) along with EDUKANS. These two groups helped in raising funds for Deepalaya. It was in 1997, when 75 students of Deepalaya along with 10 staff went to Holland. The children performed (Cultural Programmes – dances of India) in various schools inMr. Bram and his wife Ms. Anna from Netherland visited Sanjay Colony on the 29th of August after a long gap of 5 years.Holland and raised funds.
The funds so raised were utilized for purchasing land for Deepalaya School, Kalkaji Extension. Mr. Bram during his visit spoke about how the fund was raised. His friendship and association with Mr. Mathew has been a long one. Mr. Bram had never seen the Sanjay Colony Project. He was curious to know about the projects being run at the center so much so that he took notes and listed down every detail. He was pleased to visit the classrooms, meet and interact with the children. He was satisfied with the social work Deepalaya was doing for the under privileged. Ms Rachana (ED) accompanied the visitors from their hotel and was with them through the visit. She briefed them about all the projects and locations of Deepalaya spread across four states.
