It gives us immense pride in announcing that 13 medals were won by students of Deepalaya School Kalkaji Extension at the recently concluded South Zone Athletic Meet organized by the Directorate of Education. This achievement has not only boosted their morale but also strengthened their determination to work hard and move ahead towards the path of success and glory.
Rahul, Rohit, Musheb, Hemant, Ramkesh, Anurag, Priya, Vivek,Anju, and
Shaheen Bano are the 10 diamonds who dreamt of winning and lived upto making it come true. Now without further ado, let’s see what the ecstatic Ramkesh, Musheb and Hemant have to say.
Hemant, the son of a watchman wants to continue in his stint in the field of sports and wants to become a sportsman. “I have earlier participated in many sports competition and won many prizes. However this time I was afraid in the beginning of the race, but once I began running all the fear went away and the feeling to win automatically conquered my mind. I am overwhelmed that I came 2nd in 100m race,” says an excited Hemant.
Ramkesh, is a student of class X who aspires to become an architect, who loves to play sports and is an active participant in various sports activities in school. “My parents were so proud of me when they came to know that I have come 2nd in 400m race. I feel like I am God’s favourite child for getting a supportive family and a second home like Deepalaya. I am a star already for my parents and among my relatives and friends.”
“It all started with racing amongst my friends and jogging in the nearby Park early in the morning. I soon realized that athletics and football is what I crave for. I was so happy to have been selected for the Zonal level competition. Ajit sir always helped me and guided me. I would not have been made here without constant support from my family and teachers,” says 13 year old Musheb who secured 3rd position in 400m Race.
