What else can make a donor happy than relishing the impact of the project he/she adopted! Mr. Jyoti Sagar from

 Mr. Jyoti Sagar and his family on a visit to Sanjay Colony

Laj Jagdish Foundation visited the ‘Sambhav’ Project and the Community Library Project at Sanjay Colony with his sisters Ms. Adarsh Sharma, Vice President – All India Women’s Education Fund Association and Ms. Ritu Chopra, Executive Director – PAR2A Center & Assistant Research Professor, University of Colorado, Denever (USA) and her family on 7thJanuary 2016. The idea was not only to meet the team but also to have a deeper understanding of the program.

Ms. Rachana Kulshrestha, Executive Director, Dr. Sangeeta Kardam, Ms. Shikha Pal & Ms. Mridula Koshy were also present on the occasion.

Ms. Ritu and her family visited the project for the first time. They were very elated and touched with the work

Deepalaya is doing for Specially-abled children & youth. While they interacted with the children, they also tried to have a feel of how the program is managed.

Ms. Ritu and her husband expressed their intent to contribute for the cause. Being an expert in Special Education, Ms. Ritu offered to share modules for Teacher’s training & for creating awareness amongst the parents of special kids that she has developed for the special children in the US. She suggested customizing and translating the modules in the local language keeping in mind the cultural context for the community we serve. She wishes to train & coach our program team for Sambhav unit on advance skills of special education prevailing internationally.

Mr. Jyoti Sagar suggested redoing the exteriors of Special Unit in summers 2016. He also discussed about Family of Mr. Jyoti Sagar is seeing the class in progress for Special childrenQuarterly Review Meeting for Sambhav Project to be held sometime later this month and clicked some special moments spent with kids enthusiastically and was happy to see the current interiors of the Special Unit. The way the kids interacted with the visitors and the products made by children were the center of attraction for the family.

Before leaving Ms. Ritu’s husband expressed his gratitude to the team and promised to come back again & contribute more. The family appreciated and purchased quilling products worth more than Rs. 3000/- from Special Unit.
