Saturday, 22nd December marked an important occasion for the students of Deepalaya Gram, Gusethi as the foundation was laid quite literally for the new Deepalaya School which will be compliant with the Haryana Education Act. This operation will be undertaken by Deepalaya with the expert help of Swiss organization Action for the Support of Deprived Children (ASED) and financial backers Cargil.deepalaya gram gusethi foundation
The project envisages construction of eight classrooms, one staff room, two blocks of modern toilets, provision of furniture and technical equipment, hiring of trainers for training of specific skills to girls and boys, and installation of a Computer Lab, Smart Classes and a 25 KV generator for alternate power supply at the school and will bring boundless joy to the Deepalaya Community in Gusbethi.
The event kicked off with the lighting of the lamp where all the dignitaries partook in the ceremony including the President of ASED, Mr. Patrick Nicollier, ASED India representative, Mr. Ajaib Singh Kocher, Cargil representatives, Mr. Praful Jha and Ms. Kamakshi Sharma alongside the Deepalaya Board. The Foundation Stone was laid by the Mr. Patrick Nicollier. The ceremony was executed in 3 different religions as a Christian Priest, a Muslim Maulawi and an Indian Pandit to show the diversity of the students of Deepalaya and the people of Mewat. This was followed by the unveiling of the plaque deepalaya gram gusethi foundationin the presence of the Sub Divisional Magistrate (Nuh) Shri Trilok Chand. Addressing the gathering the SDM welcomed the ASED partnership and assured all Government support to Deepalaya’s efforts in the District
A beautiful cultural program was presented by the students of Deepalaya –which included dances from different parts of North India deepalaya gram gusethi foundation.
The festive spirit spread almost spontaneously to Mr. Nicollier as he joined in the fun on stage. His presence while uplifting, amused the crowd as his lanky structure tried to portray the intricacies of Bhangra deepalaya gram gusethi foundation. THE SHG members not to be left behind also took to the stage and broke into a regional dance.
