Teachers, I believe, are the most responsible and important members of society because their professional efforts affect the fate of the earth.” Helen Caldicott

These were the sentiments echoed by the students of Deepalaya as they gathered together to salute their teachers on the occasion of Teacher’s Day (5th Sep).

Teachers DayThe day began with excited giggles and hushed voices as senior students took over as ‘Teachers for the Day’. Dressed up to look ‘teacherly’ in saris and formal suits, the students took full responsibility for maintaining the decorum. Cultural programs were organized at all schools and projects- Speeches, dance, songs, games all added to the festive spirit.
Teachers Day
Rahul Adhikari of grade IV at Deepalaya School Gole Kuan shared his feelings that his teachers are like the gardener, who sows the seed, cares and nurtures it to a flower which spreads joy and fragrance. The same is the life of a student who grows to become a confident, all rounder; thanks to the teachings he/she receive.

Ms. Poonam Thakur and Ms. Anita Sahney Principals at Deepalaya School report that the day became more special when Alumni students came to wish them. This goes a long way to tell about the love and care teachers at Deepalaya have showered on the students.
