The ones who’ll laugh, and go laughing with you all through the night; the ones who’ll help you, Help you with all their might The children of Deepalaya School, Gusbethi celebrated eleven years of their bond of friendship together on 5th February when the School celebrated its Annual Day. The occasion was graced by Ms. Bindu Malini Krishnan, HRO India Benefits CSG, Gautam Ramdev, Hewett Associate and representatives from Colvetta India. The sunny day started with a Prayer Song and the guests were welcomed with the band. Proud to see the enthusiasm and the performances, Rtn T.K. Mathew, Secretary & Chief Executive, Deepalaya appreciated the efforts of the children and the staff members for putting up an excellent presentation. Various acts rolled out of the carpet once the program began. A group of girls presented a well executed qawwali item, followed by a graceful Bengali Dance. Beautifully choreographed Rajasthani dance by the girls and a foot tapping Punjabi dance by the boys were the show stealers. A Radha – Krishna act by tiny tots was the icing on the cake. The students celebrated togetherness with full zeal and energy. The function was the most appropriate time to list the important achievements of the school in the last academic year. The Annual Report of the School was read out by Anita John, Head of the School- Gusbethi, which pointed out towards the steady growth of the school. Following that, the Academic Excellence awards were given to the deserving students.Saraswati and Sareela, were awarded Smt. Rajni Verma Memorial award for their outstanding performance in 3rd standard. 13 toppers from LKG to 10th standard were felicitated with a school bag each, presented by Hewlett Associates. Ms Bindu Krishnan, amazed by the stellar performances, applauded the efforts of the students and encouraged them to work hard towards achieving their dreams.
