Yoga for Health- Yoga at Home

During COVID-19 Lockdown, Deepalaya with the help of our supporters and donors continued to teach the children (virtually) to manage their emotions through Art & Craft, Music-Making, acting, games and many more activities that are designed to revolve around Social Emotional Learning and Community Development. 

Since June 21, the International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually across the world, coinciding with the Summer Solstice each year. This year’s Yoga day is helping us in this fight against this pandemic. The pranayamas help us in building immunity and resolving respiratory illnesses.

They expressed their solidarity towards the theme “Yoga for Health – Yoga at Home”, as they truly understand that Yoga plays a crucial role in promoting health in a holistic manner by improving physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

Mental Well-being

They also inspired their community to just take a deep breath, stretch and embrace all the positive energy within us. They added that our good health is equally interlinked with our mental well-being. Especially during this pandemic, when coping with all kinds of stress and anxiety is difficult, practising Yoga from home will help us maintain the right balance.
